The next step along the Beacons of Light Pastoral Planning Pathway is Developing and Communicating the Vision of our parish. The Vision of a parish is a statement of faith that sets forth long term goals on who we want and strive to be as the Mystical Body of Christ. The Vision would have a three-fold purpose: clarify our mission as a Family of Parishes, set the standards by which all ministries will strive to achieve and whose effectiveness are evaluated, and unify our parishes in one common goal. Creating a Vision is no easy task and involves many leaders in our parishes, thus we are holding two “Visio Days”.
Day 1: October 5, 2024 - 8:00 am – 2:00 pm (lunch provided) Saint Antoninus Church & Undercroft
Day 2: December 7, 2024 - 8:00 am – 12:00 pm Saint Martin of Tours - Fr Mick Hall
“Visio Days” are designed for high level thinking about who we are and who we would like to become. It is about discerning God’s will for the mission of our Family of Parishes. These are not days for digging up the past or complaining about individual issues. They are about looking and moving forward. Members of our Family Leadership Team, Parish Council, and Finance Council have been invited, but we would like to invite a representative from each organization or ministry in the parish as we want every aspect of life within the Family of the Most Holy Eucharist to be involved. Two “Visio Days” have been scheduled and we hope that those who participate can attend both sessions. However, if you are only able to make the first day, that would be greatly beneficial.
For those who are able to attend, please RSVP to Erin Dwyer at [email protected] so that we can plan appropriately with seating, materials, and food and drink.
