• • Baptisms are customarily celebrated during weekend liturgies after the 3:30pm Mass on Saturdays. Parents are expected to be parishioners of the parish for at least three months.
  • A Baptismal Preparation class is required for first-time expectant parents and godparents. The class is held on the third Wednesday of the month, at 7:00 PM. For more information or to sign up, please contact the Rectory office: 513-574-4840.

  
  The following information is very important for the reception of baptism:

  • At least one parent should be a practicing Catholic.
  • Parents should be registered in the parish in which they reside. New parents are responsible for their registration and no longer can be registered in their parents’ names.
  • The guidelines for godparents are:  At least one godparent should be a practicing Catholic.  If he/she is registered in a parish, other than where the baptism will take place, they must present a letter, and parish seal, from that parish in recognition of his/her membership.  A person who is baptized, and belongs to another Christian community, may be a Christian witness, not a godparent.  A non-baptized person may not be a witness.
  • a godparent must be 16 years old and confirmed in the Roman Catholic Church.
